Cupro is a material in the rayon family, that has a look and feel similar to silk. Its excellent quality and ecological pedigree set it apart from ordinary rayon and it is especially pleasing to the touch. This material is so soft and fine that it’s easy to forget you’re wearing it.
Cupro is a breathable material that has a significant cooling effect in the heat. That makes it a safe choice for sewing clothing to wear in even the hottest conditions.
Crepe georgette is a type of fabric woven with tightly twisted yarn (in this case cupro) that gives it an interesting pebbled structure. When combining fabrics, try pairing it with another crepe weave or a sheer georgette.
This cupro crepe georgette can be used anywhere you would find silk crepe georgette. It is perfect for both dressy and casual garments, especially draped and flowing styles.
Items you might sew with crepe georgette:
Wash by hand or on your machine’s gentle cycle. Do not wring; lay flat to dry. Cupro fibers can withstand fairly high temperatures, but if not washed gently can stiffen somewhat, forming creases that are difficult to iron out. Dry iron on no higher than the cotton setting.
Most of our fabrics are one-time offers that last until they are sold out. However, some more popular items are always restocked or can be ordered on request. As a rule, this applies to notions, where the selection is pretty consistent, but may also include some types of fabric. Look at the product's availability value – it shows whether the goods are available while supplies last, in the core inventory or in a seasonal collection.
The goods in the seasonal collection come directly from our verified manufacturers. We change up the colors on offer from season to season but fabric quality is always constant. For large (wholesale) orders, colors that have been sold out can be reordered individually.
